Summary: | The installation establishes multipoint links across a digital distributor (7) so as to connect a main data transceiver (1) with a plurality of secondary data transceivers (2-5). The secondary transceivers can communicate, each in turn, with a main transceiver. The transmission of data is carried out in digital envelopes transported on digital lines (10-50) at low rates, which differ from, but are multiples of, one another, which are multiplexed according to a multiframe on intermediate-rate two-way digital lines (110 - 130). The first bits of the envelopes are address bits forming a pseudo-random sequence. A multipoint unit (8) linked to the distributor (7) makes it possible to form as many secondary copy envelopes identical to an envelope received from the main transceiver as there are secondary transceivers and to re-assign address bits to the secondary copy envelopes as a function of the destination secondary transceiver. |
