Summary: | A method and apparatus for creating and tracking issues on-line. Issues related to purchased items are initiated by the customer by entering issue information over a computer network [14]. A server computer system [16] identifies the order to which the issue relates and retrieves order information related to the issue. The order information and issue information are stored as an issued record [22] in association with a unique identifier for tracking purposes. Accordingly, the issue record [22] can be created without the need for interaction by vendor personnel. A vendor and the customer can query and view issue records [22] in various ways to facilitate tracking and resolution of the issues. |
