Summary:The present invention provides a method for improving regeneration efficiency of a genome edited plant cell, which method comprises the steps of (a) simultaneously introducing an endonuclease designed for a desired genome modification (EDTGM) and a TaWOX, in the form of a protein or in the form of its encoding mRNA, into a plant cell, (b) allowing the endonuclease to modify the genome of said plant cell, and (c) regenerating said plant cell into a plant, thereby allowing the TaWOX protein to increase efficiency of regeneration.
