Summary: | A conductor rod (100) having an arm section (962) that slides into and out of a barrel section (960), the arm section (962) and barrel section (960) providing power from a power source to a work machine (100), and a work machine (100) for using the conductor rod (100) are described herein. The arm section (962) includes piston conductors (912, 914) that slidable engage with cylinder conductors (902, 904) of the barrel section (960), forming concentric tubular conductors. The concentric tubular connectors maintain physical and electrical contact as the conductor rod (106) extends and contracts so that contact with electrical power is maintained despite lateral movements of the work machine (100) caused by steering or road conditions. |
