Summary: | The current invention relates to a method for producing an alcohol-free, antimicrobial, moisturising hand sanitizer comprising (i) a polymer-based nanoemulsion including one or more active compounds selected from cyanovirin-N (CV-N), cannabidiol (CBD) and palmitic acid (PA); and (ii) an aqueous gel-like moisturizing composition comprising xanthan gum, glycerol and a preservative such as citric acid. The invention further relates to an alcohol-free, antimicrobial, moisturising hand sanitizer produced by the method of the invention, as well as to use of the hand sanitizer as an antimicrobial, in particular an antivirual agent. |
