Summary:A system interconnects a power grid to a local interconnection to a local application. The system interconnection can provide bidirectional power control between the local interconnection and the power grid. The system includes a bridge circuit having cross-connected switches inline with a high voltage path of the power grid. The system includes a direct current (DC) link to transfer energy between the local interconnection and the bridge circuit. The system has a controller to control the bridge circuit and the DC link to provide bidirectional waveform shaping of an alternating current (AC) current waveform to interconnect with the power grid.
