ELECTROLYSIS SYSTEM HAVING AN AUXILIARY ION EXCHANGER

The invention relates to an electrolysis system (01) having a plurality of electrolytic cells (31) for water electrolysis. An anode-side water circuit (02) leads from an anode-side outlet, via an oxygen separator (34), a main pump (36) and a cooling device (37), to an anode-side inlet of an anode ch...

Summary:The invention relates to an electrolysis system (01) having a plurality of electrolytic cells (31) for water electrolysis. An anode-side water circuit (02) leads from an anode-side outlet, via an oxygen separator (34), a main pump (36) and a cooling device (37), to an anode-side inlet of an anode chamber (32). A cathode-side water circuit (03) leads, similarly, from a cathode-side outlet, via an oxygen separator (34), a main pump (36) and a cooling device (37), to a cathode-side inlet of a cathode chamber (33). Cleaning of the water during non-operation of the electrolysis system (01) is achieved by adding an anode-side partial-flow branch (04), which (04) leads from a branch-off point (42), via an auxiliary ion exchanger (49), to a collection point (43) in the anode-side water circuit (02, 12, 22).
