Summary:A humeral implant is provided. The implant includes a humeral stem (5300) including a plurality of fins (5350). At least one fin comprises a serrated bottom edge (5351, 5352). A radial distance between an inner bottom edge of the at least one fin and a centerline (C) of the humeral implant increases along a distal length of extension of the at least one fin. At least the serrated bottom edge of the at least one fin is configured to cut into and compact bone of of the metaphysis of a humerus toward relatively denser cancellous bone of a peripheral portion of the humerus when press-fit therein, thereby providing sufficient press-fitting for cementless fixation of the humeral stem into the humerus. Related kits and methods are also provided.
