Summary:The invention relates to a gas measuring device (100) for measuring cyanogen in the presence of hydrogen cyanide. The gas measuring device (100) comprises a measurement chamber (101), a heating element (103, 203) and an electrochemical sensor (105, 200), wherein the measurement chamber (101) is designed to accommodate a sample, the heating element (103) is designed to thermally cleave cyanogen contained in the sample into cleavage products, and the sensor (105, 200) is designed to detect the cyanogen cleavage products obtained by the thermal cleavage. The present invention also relates to a method for measuring cyanogen in the presence of hydrogen cyanide.
