Summary: | PROTECTING SOLID BULK MATERIAL WITH WATER-ABSORBENT NATURAL FIBERS Methods of reducing or preventing liquefaction of solid bulk material containing pore water and particles such as iron ore are described. The methods include combining water-absorbent natural fibers, such as sugar cane bagasse, with the particles. The fibers may be blended with the particles or applied to the surface of the solid bulk material.
