Summary:Abstract The present disclosure relates to a system and method for climbing a tree. A tree climbing robot has been developed which has capability to adjust itself while climbing over different cross-sectional areas minor bends of the tree. This is achieved by using two framed structure for the robot and placing self-adjustable springs to support the wheels of the robot. Further, the upper and lower frames have 4 wheels which are driven by planetary geared DC stepper motor of higher torque. The four motors are driven by dedicated stepper motor drivers. The control of the motors can be done from smartphone which is interfaced to the stepper motor drivers through Arduino Mega and a Bluetooth module. The robot is automated, and thus it does not require any human labour except to control it from the ground remotely, from a distance of about 10-15 feet from the base of tree. -r> a, -L
