The content of the present disclosure relates to a lower computer, a connector, a lower computer assembly and a communication system. According to one embodiment of the content of the present disclosure, a lower computer for connecting a device to an upper computer comprises: a USB port provided with first to fifth pins; a power switch connected to the first pin and the fourth pin; an RS232 module configured to convert, on the basis of an RS232 standard, the levels of a signal to be transmitted to the device and a signal received from the device; a resistor connected between the fourth pin and the fifth pin; and a power supply provided with a positive terminal, wherein the positive terminal is connected to the first pin; the RS232 module is connected to the first pin via the power switch; and the power switch is configured to open, in response to the potential at the fourth pin being a high potential, a conductive path between the positive terminal and the RS232 module. The technical solution of the content of the present disclosure has at least one of the following beneficial effects: energy saving, a compact structure, safety, and the provision of reliable communication between the device and the upper computer.
