Summary:Abstract Disclosed is an aqueous pesticidal concentrate composition comprising at least one particulate microencapsulated acetamide pesticide dispersed in aqueous liquid, and a method that modulates the release rate of said microencapsulated pesticide in a mixture. The microencapsulated pesticide comprises a herbicide comprising a water-immiscible core composed of a polyurea shell wall containing the core material, wherein the acetamide herbicide concentration is at least 10 wt.%. The polyurea shell wall is formed by polymerization of a polyisocyanate and a polyamine, and the molar ratio of amine in the polyamine to isocyanate in the polyisocyanate is at least 1.01:1. The herbicidal concentrate comprises a polyvalent metal cation release modulating agent with a molecular weight no greaterthan 1000 g/mol. The molar ratio of polyvalent metal cation to amine in the polyamine component is 0.05:1 to 10:1 and the composition may comprise an acidic co-herbicide. The pesticidal composition is capable of enhancing crop safety.
