Summary:The invention is directed to an apparatus for delivering therapeutic gas to a patient, the apparatus comprising a therapeutic gas injector module comprising a first inlet in fluid communication with a therapeutic gas supply comprising nitric oxide, a second inlet in fluid communication with a breathing gas delivery system providing a flow of breathing gas, and an outlet to supply a combined flow of breathing gas and therapeutic gas to the patient; an input device operable to receive a nitric oxide flow rate from a user; and a control circuit comprising a first flow sensor to monitor the flow of breathing gas through the therapeutic gas injector module, a CPU to send and receive signals to the flow sensor, and a flow controller, wherein the CPU obtains information from the first flow sensor and the input device and calculates a dose of nitric oxide based on the information from the first flow sensor and the input device.
