Summary: | SMART SELF-HEATING RECHARGEABLE INOCULATION LOOP (SHRIL) Abstract The current invention relates to the technique of providing a medium to transfer cultures and bacteriological samples from one container to another without any contamination of specimen during the process. An inoculation loop consisting a long piece of wire wound at one end, are used to carry bacteria or cultures from one container to another. The existing Inoculation loops made of Platinum are sterilized by exposing the wire to an external heat source. The external heating source commonly used to heat the Inoculation Loop is through Bunsen laboratory burner or gas flame (LPG). Furthermore, for proper sterilization of the inoculation loop, uniform heating is required over the entire length of the inoculation loop. To overcome the above issues, portable Battery operated self-sterilizing inoculation Loop is designed which doesn't require any external heating source to sterilize the Inoculation Loop to the ideal disinfection temperature. This Model throws a glimpse on identification of suitable metal for inoculation loop. |
