This outdoor unit of an air conditioner includes: a housing; a heat exchanger provided inside the housing; an electric component box provided inside the housing; and a separator that divides the interior of the housing into a first chamber and a second chamber. The separator is disposed in front of the heat exchanger. The first chamber and the second chamber are aligned in the lateral direction in a front view of the outer unit. The electric component box is disposed in front of the heat exchanger and above the separator. The outer unit includes: a first positioning member that provided to the electric component box and that determines an arrangement position of the electric component box in the vertical direction and the front-back direction with respect to the heat exchanger; and a second positioning member that is provided to the bottom surface of the electric component box and that determines a position of the electric component box in the lateral direction with respect to the separator.
