Summary: | The present invention provides a carrier assembly (400) that includes a support frame (402) having an inner frame edge (412) that defines a window of the support frame and an adapter plate (420) coupled to the support frame and positioned within the window. The adapter plate includes a plate body (421) having an inner plate edge (424) that defines a pocket (426) for receiving a substrate that is sized smaller than the window. The inner plate edge also defines a holding recess (480) that opens to the pocket. The carrier assembly also includes a movable datum block (440) positioned within the holding recess. The datum block is movable between a retracted position and an engaged position.
