Summary:A system (104) for remote monitoring of a machine (102) is provided. The system (104) includes a data store (106) to store machine data associated with an operation of the machine (102). The system (104) includes an analyzer (108) comprising a plurality of analytics engines (204, 206, 208) to analyze the machine data. The analyzer (108) selects one or more analytics engines based at least on one of machine data and a type of the machine (102). The analyzer (108) is further configured to analyze machine data using the selected one or more analytics engines and to determine a plurality of exceptions. The system (104) includes a rules engine (110) to process at least two of the plurality of exceptions and determine a smart exception, wherein the smart exception is a hierarchical combination of the at least two of the plurality of exceptions. The system (104) includes an interface (112) to display a notification to a user in the event of a smart exception.
