Summary:Title: An apparatus and method based on dynamic key dependent S-Box for Symmetric Encryption in wireless networks using symmetric ciphers. Abstract: This patent application proposes a dynamic S-box used for substitution in most of symmetric ciphers like AES, PRESENT etc. If the S box is static as in the conventional mode, it makes attackers easy to predict the substitution element by using of regular monitoring of information flow as the number of elements in the substitution box are around 256.Another novelty in our proposed algorithm is use of elliptical curve to construct the dynamic S-Box instead of Fourier algebra. All the claims have been tested on MIRACL crypto library and experimental results shows that our proposed dynamic box takes less computational time. Keywords- Internet of Things, ECC, S-Boxes, Resource Constrained devices.
