Applicator device (1) comprising an applicator tip (100) and: (i) a container (210) comprising a container wall (211), a valve (220), a plunger (230) and (ii) a plunger advance system (300) for expelling at least part of a liquid to said tip (100); wherein (a) the valve (220) comprises a first spring system (225) comprising stainless steel comprising a molybdenum content in the range of 0.5-7 wt.%, and (b) the plunger advance system (300) comprises a second spring system (325) comprising stainless steel comprising a molybdenum content in the range of 0.5-7 wt.%, applies; the plunger advance system (300) comprises a polymer (310) selected from the group of polypropylene (PP), ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene (ECTFE), and polyoxymethylene (POM); wherein the plunger advance system (300) comprising a ratchet system (353) comprising a first element (355) and a second element (356) configured to engage on each other.
