Abstract The present disclosure provides a method (700) of displaying a gesture based user interface on a display (117). The gesture based user interface is controlled by gestures of a user (e.g., 201). The gesture based user interface is configured for controlling a device (1901) based on the gestures of the user (201). The method (700) comprises displaying, on the display (117), a first representation of the gesture based user interface, the first representation showing the user (201) and gesture zones (302) of the gesture based user interface located in relation to the user (201), each of the gesture zones (302) being linked to a command of the device (1901). The method (700) also displays a second representation (e.g., 404) of the gesture based user interface, the second representation (404) showing a further representation of the user and the gesture zones, when a visibility of the gesture zones (302) in the first representation falls below a predetermined threshold. The second representation (404) shows each of the associated gesture zones being positioned and sized relative to the further representation of the user (201). The method (700) then provides feedback on the gesture based user interface using the second representation (404) of the user and the associated gesture zones.
