Summary:A respiratory mask system has a patient interface comprising a frame (5) to secure seal (4) and gas delivery conduit (6) together. Recessed channel (106) and/or headgear retaining features (450) connects headgear (3) to the patient interface. Inlet collar (114) connects the frame to the gas delivery conduit (6), converges, includes bias flow holes (127) forming an arc of 240 degrees and has a distal rim with a top and bottom projecting distally relative to lateral sides (fig 26B). The headgear comprises top strap, pair of side arms, optional rear strap and a yoke configured to connect to the recessed channel (106). Top strap, side arms and yoke form an integral closed loop (strap). First edge of the strap comprises a soft edge, an opposite edge comprises soft and rigid edge portions (fig 16). The top strap can include two portions adjustably connected to each other.
