Summary:The present invention addresses the problem of enabling a train to travel smoothly so that the train arrives at a station at a designated time, even when the train travels at a speed lower than the running curve. To overcome this problem, this driving assistance system is provided with: a storage unit for storing a train schedule, the minimum driving time interval between a preceding train and a following train, and a running curve of multiple trains; and a calculation processor for executing a process for determining a departure predicted time when a following train will depart from a prescribed station and an arrival predicted time when the train will arrive at the next station after the prescribed station on the basis of the schedule and the minimum driving time interval when there is a delay in train movement, a process for determining a difference time between the arrival predicted time and the departure predicted time and correcting the running curve so that either the travel time is the difference time when the following train travels at the running curve or the average speed during travel at the running curve is the average speed during travel at the difference time between stations, and a process for providing information pertaining to the corrected running curve.
