Summary:The invention relates to electric machines, comprising a shaft (1) rotatably mounted in a housing (3), and a labyrinth seal (7) having labyrinth contours (8) that mesh with each other for sealing the housing (3) against the shaft (1). The invention relates, in particular, to the labyrinth seal (7) for sealing the housing of a three-phase machine against a shaft (1) that can rotate in relation to the housing (3). According to the invention, at least one side of the labyrinth seal (7) has an insulating coating (6) at least in the region of the labyrinth contours (8).
