Summary: | DEVICE FOR MONITORING PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS IN VIVO A monitoring system (100) for real time in vivo monitoring is provided. The system (100) comprises a surgical implant secured to tissue using a surgical stapling device (10) and a first monitoring device (110) attached to the surgical implant. The first monitoring device (110) having a sensor (112) for taking measurements of a preselected physiological parameter of the tissue or tissue environment, and a transmitter (114) for converting the measurements into signals. The system (100) further comprises and a receiving unit (120) configured to receive the signals from the transmitter (114) for monitoring the preselected physiological parameter. |
