Summary:A method for producing a primary laminate including a tabstock (8) suitable for temperatures from -30 C to 30 C, the method comprising: feeding a seal laminate (1) including a heat seal layer, a foil layer (5) and a foam layer (7) to a laminating station (6); continuously feeding a tabstock (8), which is narrower than the seal laminate (1), towards the laminating station (6) such that the bottom of the tabstock (8) and a top surface of the seal laminate (1) come into non-adhesive contact to form a primary substrate (la), a top face of which is partly comprised of a top face of the tabstock (8); continuously feeding a plastic film (10) which has top and bottom surfaces to the laminating station (6), so the bottom surface of the plastic film (10) is in contact with the top face of the primary substrate (1 a); continuously extruding a polymeric adhesive (9) that is a random copolymer of ethylene and alkylacrylate having a melt flow index from 1 to 10 dg/min (1 90'C, 2.16kg) between the top face of the primary substrate (l a) and bottom surface of the plastic film (10) and cooling so that the seal laminate (1) and the plastic film (10) are adhered together, the random copolymer of ethylene and alkylacrylate is a copolymer of ethylene with C1.2 alkyl acrylates esters having a mole proportion of acrylates of 0.5 to 25 percent, and a melt point of 70 to 100'C; and a bond between the plastic film (10) and the seal laminate (1) throughout a temperature range of -30 C to 30 C being greater than about 15N/12.5mm at about 330m/min when the laminate of plastic film (10) and tabstock (8) is peeled at about 900 to the longitudinal edge of the tabstock (8) with an angle of separation of about 1800.
