BODY ADHERING ABSORBENT ARTICLE Abstract A feminine care absorbent article (100) has an absorbent structure (121) configured for disposition adjacent a female wearer's vaginal region to absorb bodily fluids discharged by the wearer, and a shell (114) for supporting the absorbent structure (121) at the vaginal region. The shell (114) has a body-facing surface (115) and a garment-facing surface (117). The body facing surface (115) has an adhesive (144) thereon for adhering the shell (121) directly to the wearer. The shell (121) has a longitudinal axis (1), a transverse axis (2), an anterior region (164), a posterior region (166), and a central region (165) extending longitudinally between and interconnecting the anterior (164) and posterior (166) regions. The anterior region (164) of the shell (121) includes a longitudinal edge having a longitudinal extent from the transverse axis (2). The longitudinal extent increases as the longitudinal edge extends transversely outward from the longitudinal axis (1) of the shell (114).
