Summary:ELECTROSURGICAL PENCIL WITH IMPROVED CONTROLS An electrosurgical pencil (10), comprising an elongated housing (2), an electrocautery electrode (6) supported within the housing (2) and extending distally from 5 the housing (2). The electrocautery electrode being connected to a source of electrosurgical energy (G). A plurality of activation switches (24a-24c) are supported on the housing (2). Each activation switch (24a-24c) being configured and adapted to selectively complete a control loop extending from the source of electrosurgical energy (G) upon actuation thereof. At least one voltage divider network (27) is supported on the io housing. The at least one voltage divider network (27) being electrically connected to the source of electrosurgical energy (G) for controlling the intensity of electrosurgical energy (G) being delivered to the electrosurgical pencil (10).
