Summary:A purifying vessel (1) having a function of separating and recovering oil content in sewage water. The purifying vessel has an inflow water vessel (4) for sewage water; an oil content recovery box (5) with a shutter, provided in the downstream side of the inflow water vessel; an intermediate water vessel (6) in the downstream side of the recovery box; a flood water vessel (7) in the downstream side of the intermediate water vessel; a water discharge pipe (9) for discharging sewage water flooding from a flood water wall (7a) of the flood water vessel, etc. In the intermediate water vessel (6) is an oil content shutoff face portion (6b), so that oil content passed through the oil content recovery box (5) does not move to the flood water vessel (7) but comes up in sewage water in the intermediate water vessel so as to be received in the oil content recovery box. To recover oil content, a bottom face opening (5a) of the oil content recovery box (5) is closed by the shutter (5c), and then the recovery box is removed from the purifying vessel.
