Summary:An electroluminescent device includes a substrate and a laminated body composed of a first electrode, an electroluminescent layer and a second electrode. The light output out of the electroluminescent device is increased by arranging a colloidal layer between the substrate and the laminated body. By using pigments in the colloidal layer, the emission color of the electroluminescent device can be changed and the daylight contrast improved.
