Summary:To develop N-cyclohexyl methyl-5-2,4-dioxothiazolidin-5-ylmethyl-2-methoxybenzamide compound I which is a preventive and/or a remedy for metabolic diseases, it is needed to solve the problem of improving its dynamics in vivo, in particular, improving its absorbability in vivo. It is found out that sodium salt of the compound I or hydrate of the sodium salt is efficacious in improving its dynamics in vivo, in particular, improving its absorbability in vivo. Thus, there has been established an industrially advantageous method of providing the sodium salt of the compound I or its hydrate useful as drugs, which makes it possible to provide these compounds as drugs with high purity and good qualities.
