Summary:The present invention provides methods and compositions for slowing the transit time of pharmaceutical compounds, nutritional supplements, and vitamins through the gastrointestinal tract, prolonging residence time of such compounds, and thereby increasing absorption in the small intestine, by utilizing the cellular regulatory compound cyclic GMP.
