Summary:Lipid nanoparticles loaded with drugs, such as peptides or proteins, are herein described. A process for obtaining them as well as their use for the preparation of a pharmaceutical composition is also disclosed. According to a preferred embodiment, the drug is a LHRH analogue, more preferably a LHRH antagonist, and the lipid matrix comprises at least 70% w/w of monoglycerides.
