Summary: | A process for the extraction of cations from an aqueous effluent. An effective quantity of at least one polymer or copolymer, which is physically or chemically crosslinked, is introduced into the aqueous effluent. The polymer or copolymer is based on one or more units selected from salified acrylic acid, quarternized acrylic acid, and a copolymer comprising from 40 to 60 mole % of acrylic acid and from 60 to 40 mole % of at least one dialkylaminoalkyl acrylate in which each alkyl group contains from 1 to 4 carbon atoms. This process is used to treat aqueous effluents. |
