Summary:1. Anti-jack-knifing device for articulated vehicles steerable at will, particularly articulated buses, comprising a steerable front vehicle (10) and at least one trailer (11) joined with it by linkage (12), with actual value sensors (19, 20) for the steering angle (LW) of the steering wheels and the jack-knifing angle (Kist ) of the linkage (12) as well as a control circuit (18) which is connected on the input side with the actual value sensors (19, 20) and on the output side with a valve arrangement for controlling the inflow and outflow of fluid, particularly a hydraulic medium, to and from respective displacement units, particularly piston cylinder units (13', 13"), which arrangements are disposed for the passive jack-knifing control between the articulatedly linked vehicles (10, 11) with a total of at least two chambers (1, 2; 1', 2') of which, on the alteration of the jack-knifing angle (Kist ) respectively one decreases its volume further to the delivery of fluid, and one increases its volume in which arrangement the chambers (1, 2; 1', 2') mutually changing their volume further to alterations of the anti-jack-knifing angle, are joined together for the exchange of fluid or hydraulic medium via a proportional valve (3) constituting the valve arrangement, with controllable throttle resistance or closing pressure, characterized in that a computer or processor is provided as a part of the control circuit (18) connected on the input side additionally to the above-stated actual valve sensors (19, 20) for steering angle and jack-knifing angle (LW, Kist ) with actual value sensors for the travelling speed (V) which processor or computer detects or computes from the respective actual values of steering angle (LW) as well as from the travelling speed (V) a time-dependent value of the jack-knifing angle (Kstab ) to be expected on travel under idealized conditions computer simulation of the travel conditions and in that the control circuit (18) actuates the proportional valve (3) in the sense of a maximum throttle resistance or closing pressure (P) or a closure, when the amount of the deviation (dK) between the actual value of the jack-knifing angle (Kist ) and the jack-knifing angle (Kstab ) respectively to be awaited exceeds a threshold (SEP), and at the same time the relative movement between the front vehicle and the trailer (10, 11) ascertainable from the signals of the actual value sensor (20) for the jack-knifing angle (Kist ) has a tendency to increase the deviation, or controls it in the sense of a throttle resistance or closing pressure increasing or decreasing according to a predeterminable function, when the amount of the deviation (dK) lies under the threshold (SEP) and/or the relative movement has a tendency to reduce the deviation (dK).
