Summary:An electric motor is protected by an e.m switching stage that has a main power stage (1) moved to the power on condition by operation of a manual push-button (7) causing a cam (12) to press against the actuator. The cam is formed on a lever (11) that is pivotted onto the pin of a reset element, that is also push-button (8) actuated. In switching the unit on an armature rocker (10) is electromagnetically lathed by a coil assembly (4). In this position the on state is maintained when the manual input is released. If the supply fails or is too low the electromagnetic stage fails to hold the unit and reset occurs. In normal operation switch off can be effected by push-button (8) operation.
