Summary:The coating plant has tools detachably and exchangeably mounted on at least one coating machine (151), and workpiece depositing stations distributed in circular fashion around the middle of a mounting common to them. A tool change station (150) is located in the region of the wall (154) of the spray booth in such a way that the workpiece depositing stations are accessible both for the coating machine in the booth and also from outside the booth. An Independent claim is included for a procedure for the series-coating of workpieces in which the workpiece depositing stations inside a change station are moved towards a transfer station for the coating machine, and after withdrawal or inserting of a tool moved away from the transfer station through the coating machine.
