Summary:Graft copolymers based on acrylic esters and methacrylic esters, wherein one or more graft monomers of the formula (I) in which R1 is a hydrocarbon radical with 2 to 24 carbon atoms, are grafted onto a basic polymer which is 55 to 100% by weight composed of one or more monomers of the formula (II) in which R2 is a hydrocarbon radical with 2 to 24 carbon atoms, with the proviso that the groups R1 and R2 have Van der Waals volumes which differ by less than 30%, and that at least 10% by weight, based on the total monomers of the formula (I), are grafted onto the basic polymer.
