Summary: | A catching device for the front edge of sheets in the sheet delivery apparatus of a sheet printing machine is described, in which apparatus stacking stops (4), which can be folded away, for the front edge of the sheets which can be conveyed onto a sheet stack (3) and catching fingers (10) which can be inserted at the same time in parallel with the plane of the sheets from the front edge of the sheets over the sheet stack in order to form an auxiliary stack and additionally corresponding drive elements are provided, which bring about the folding away and folding back of the stack stops (4) about a pivot shaft (5) aligned parallel to the plane of the sheets, as a function of the insertion movement in relation to the return movement of the catching fingers (10). Separate motor drives, preferably pneumatic cylinders (8, 18) are provided for this movement, for the movement of the stack stops (4) and of the catching fingers (10) in each case on one of the two machine sides of the delivery apparatus and act on drive shafts mounted coaxially with respect to one another transversely to the conveying direction of the sheet, elements (6) for transmitting the rotational movement of the one driveshaft (7) onto the pivot shaft (5) of the stacking stops being arranged on one side of the machine and elements (17) for transmitting the rotational movement of the other driveshaft (13) onto catching fingers (10) which are guided in a linearly movable manner being arranged on the other side of the machine and switching elements for the individual drive of both driveshafts and for the corresponding drive as a function of one another being provided. |
