Summary: | Rotary impact drilling devices possess, as main components, an impact mechanism and a rotary mechanism, which can be operated individually or jointly as a function of the working conditions. To prevent unnecessary wear in particular on the impact piston and its sealing elements during purely rotary operation, the use of a stop element (31) is proposed, by means of which the impact piston (3) can be lifted off from the tool-insertion end (12) after the impact mechanism (1) has been switched off. The stop element (31) displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the impact piston is constructed and controlled in such a way that it assumes, as a function of the influenceable pressurisation, either an impact-operating position which is displaced in the direction of the impact-piston tip (3a) and in which the impact piston (3) can act on the tool-insertion end (12), or is displaceable, when subjected merely to a control pressure, in the direction of the return-stroke movement (arrow 21) of the impact piston (3) to such an extent into a rotary-operating position that the impact piston is gripped, carried along and thereby freed from the tool-insertion end (12). |
