Summary:1320347 Measuring pressure electrically KISTLER INSTRUMENTE AG 20 June 1970 [20 June 1969] 25997/70 Heading G1N A pressure sensitive transducer for measuring pressure P2 comprises a ring-shaped transducer element 32 abutting a casing member 31 and surrounded by a tubular elastic member 34 carrying or integral with a pressure plate 35. The member 34 which is radially supported by a member 33 pre-stresses the element 32 and tends to contract under pressure. The support 33, which may have circumferential grooves Fig. 4 (not shown), may be shorter than the transducer element, Fig. 5 (not shown) and may be formed from a number of rings. The element 32 and support 33 may be made of Piezo-electric material. The support member and the tubular member may be combined in a single component.
