Summary: | The aim of this study is to contribute to the valorization of the tinctorial plants of Central Africa. A chemical characterization was conducted on three vegetable species presumed tinctorial. Grewia coriacea Mast (Malvaceae), Harungana madagascariensis Lam ex Poir. (Hypericaceae), Annickia chlorantha Oliv. (Annonaceae) were selected because of their traditional use as colouring agents. The classical extractions were done by means of TLC, and quantified by usual methods. The antioxidant activity for the three species has also been assessed.
