Summary:We investigate the stability of antiferromagnetic phases at Hund's exchange coupling between two e g electrons J H = 0 in a model of LaMnO 3, and derive spin and mixed spin-and-orbital excitations for either x 2 - y 2 or 3 z 2 - r 2 orbitals occupied. It is found that the superexchange due to t 2 g electron excitations and the charge transfer processes in the superexchange remove the divergence of quantum corrections and stabilize both ordered phases.
