Magnetic properties of (Tl 1−xPb x)Sr 2CaCu 2O 7 High- Tc oxide studied by 17O NMR and SQUID: from overdoped superconductor to strongly overdoped metal

We report 17O NMR and SQUID measurements in two overdoped samples of the (Tl 1−xPb x)Sr 2CaCu 2O 7 family with T c =65K (x=0.5) and T c≊0 K ( x=0.2) . The line shift 17 K( T) has been measured for all three, well defined, 17O NMR lines and T 1 T has been studied for oxygen sites in the CuO 2 planes....

Summary:We report 17O NMR and SQUID measurements in two overdoped samples of the (Tl 1−xPb x)Sr 2CaCu 2O 7 family with T c =65K (x=0.5) and T c≊0 K ( x=0.2) . The line shift 17 K( T) has been measured for all three, well defined, 17O NMR lines and T 1 T has been studied for oxygen sites in the CuO 2 planes. Our results show that contrary to underdoped High- T c materials there is no evident connection between T c variation on increasing doping and the magnetic properties in the normal state.
