Summary:The microstructure and the stability of Fe 72.5Cu 1Nb 2V 2Si 13.5B 9 alloy at different annealing temperatures have been investigated by means of transmission electron microscopy and measurement of magnetic aftereffect. It is found that the volume fraction of amorphous phase shows the same dependence on the annealing temperature as the magnetic aftereffect (MAE). This indicates that the MAE is mainly contributed by the amorphous phase.
