Analysis of 3d 7−3d 64p transitions in the sixth spectrum of zinc: Zn VI

The spectrum of zinc was photographed in the 160–550 Å region on a 6.65 m grazing incidence spectrograph. The sources used were a triggered spark and a sliding spark. On the basis of our new observations, all levels of the 3d 7 configuration and 161 out of 180 levels of the 3d 64p configuration of Z...

Summary:The spectrum of zinc was photographed in the 160–550 Å region on a 6.65 m grazing incidence spectrograph. The sources used were a triggered spark and a sliding spark. On the basis of our new observations, all levels of the 3d 7 configuration and 161 out of 180 levels of the 3d 64p configuration of Zn VI have been established. The least-squares-fit (LSF) and Hartree-Fock (HF) parameter calculations support the analysis. Two hundred and seventy seven (277) lines have been classified in the 3d 7−3d 64p transition array.
