Mass generation in an SU L(2) × SU R(3) model
A set of scalar fields is added to the recently proposed SU L(2) × SU R(3) model. Due to these fields, masses of the first-generation fermions are induced as two-loop radiative corrections. The inequality m u < m d is naturally related to m t > m b as a consequence.
