Synthesis and crystal structure of CsHMoO 2(P 2O 7) 2
A new Mo 6+ diphosphate, CsHMoO 2P 2O 7, was discovered and its crystal structure determined from single-crystal X-ray diffraction data. CsHMoO 2P 2O 7 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2 1 a , with a = 9.670(5), b = 14.231(10), c = 6.265(5) Å, β = 100.10(7)°, V = 849(2) Å 3, Z = 4, R = 0....

6 octahedra share four of their oxygen atoms with three different P

7 groups to build infinite ribbons spreading along the
c direction. One of the two oxygen atoms of the molybdenyl group remains unshared while the second one takes part in the cesium coordination. P
2O
7 groups are interconnected by H bonding to form infinite monodimensional chains along the
a direction. |
