Reduction of trimethylsilyl-μ 3- S, S′-ethylenedithiolatohexacarbonyldiiron

Reduction of the dithiolatodiiron hexacarbonyl complex of trimethylvinylsilane (I) with LiAlH 4 leads to the formation of thioiron carbonyl clusters, and is not accompanied with the generation of the corresponding dithiol.
