Summary:Single crystals of superconducting (Eu,Ce) 2(Ba,Eu) 2Cu 3O z have been grown successfully in a molten cooper oxide flux. The samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, electron probe microanalysis, and X-ray diffraction and magnetic susceptibility measurement. The grown crystals are plate-like with {001} faces and almost pure “223” phase with little intergrowth of other phases. After high oxygen pressure annealing, they exhibit sharp superconducting transition around at 30 K.
